NewRetex Fiber – Redefining Textile Recycling

NewRetex fibers are crafted from post-consumer textiles, giving new life to worn-out garments. At our advanced AI-driven sorting facility, textiles are meticulously separated by material type, composition, and color, ensuring a high level of purity in each fiber fraction.

Sourced from household and laundry textile waste collected in Denmark, our fibers are produced in Europe, maintaining full traceability and sustainability throughout the process. By sorting garments with precision, we maximize resource efficiency and deliver high-quality recycled fibers—ready to shape the future of circular textiles.

Color – Naturally Defined by the Input

At NewRetex, we let the original textile waste define the color of our recycled fibers. This approach eliminates the need for resource-intensive dyeing, significantly reducing water and chemical consumption. However, additional dyeing remains an option if required.

Fiber Length – Optimized for Mechanical Recycling

The length of our fibers is determined by the input material, with an average range of 17–20 mm. Each batch is tested for spinning to ensure optimal performance in mechanical recycling. For specific details on fiber length per lot, feel free to contact us.

NewRetex Yarns – Pioneering Recycled Yarns from Post-Consumer Textiles

Todays recycled yarns made from pre-consumer textile waste and PET are well established, with a known production process. However, utilizing post-consumer textile waste presents new challenges and opportunities.

Mastering the Future of Recycled Yarns

Since 2021, our yarn development team has been deeply engaged in understanding the unique demands of post-consumer textiles in the production of high-quality recycled fibers.

Through close collaboration with skilled spinners, we have continuously tested and refined fibers, compositions, and yarns, optimizing techniques to meet our ambition: creating durable, high-quality recycled yarns with a long lifespan—crafted from post-consumer textile waste.

When you buy NewRetex Recycled Fibers and Yarns, you contribute to:

Keeping valuable resources in circulation
Turning post-consumer textile waste into new garments
Reducing the use of virgin materials
Reducing the amount of textile waste
Lowering the use of water and chemicals in production

From Sorted Textiles to High-Quality Mechanically Recycled Yarns

Our meticulous sorting process is the cornerstone of producing high-quality recycled yarns from post-consumer textile waste. By carefully selecting uniform fiber fractions, we ensure optimal performance in the final yarns—developed in collaboration with experienced partners.

The process begins with the removal of accessories and trims, followed by cutting the garments into smaller pieces. The material is then mechanically processed into open fibers suitable for spinning, resulting in a diverse range of premium NewRetex recycled yarns.
